wayfinding that may be used to access loading zones, parking <br /> facilities or drive-through facilities. <br /> • Provide 12-foot wide sidewalks with bulb-outs for pedestrian <br /> crossings on Wall Street and Oakes Avenue to the satisfaction of the <br /> City. <br /> • Provide 12-foot sidewalks on either side of Oakes Avenue from Wall <br /> to Pacific. <br /> • Assist pedestrians in reaching desired locations by providing <br /> sidewalks and paths across the proposed plaza and around existing <br /> and future buildings <br /> Traffic -- Frontage <br /> Improvements Transportation related frontage improvements will be provided to <br /> accomplish the following: <br /> • Maximize available on street parking on Wall Street using angle <br /> parking wherever possible. <br /> • Minimize driveways on Oakes Avenue. <br /> • Construct curb extensions, mid-block crosswalk and related flashers <br /> to enhance the pedestrian environment. <br /> • Upgrade the traffic control signal at Pacific and Rockefeller for the <br /> main access to the underground-parking garage. <br /> • Design access to City standards including right turn taper. <br /> • Force traffic exiting the garage at Pacific Avenue to turn left or right <br /> onto Pacific Avenue to protect the adjacent neighborhood. <br /> • Provide controlled access to sally port of the Jail Expansion on <br /> Pacific Avenue. <br /> • Provide a bus pullout on Pacific Avenue in a location approved by <br /> the City and reflected in Attachment A. <br /> • Curb cuts shall be generally as shown on the approved site plan and <br /> shall be subject to the approval of the City's Traffic Engineer <br /> • Install sidewalk ramps at intersections to meet ADA requirements. <br /> Install sidewalk curb ramps across intersections where applicable. <br /> Trucking materials to and from the project area will be scheduled to <br /> minimize congestion during peak travel times. This will minimize <br /> secondary air quality impacts caused by traffic having to travel at <br /> reduced speeds. <br /> Upgraded transit shelters shall be provided on the campus frontage along <br /> Pacific Avenue and along Wetmore Avenue. These shelters shall be <br /> architecturally designed to match the existing or proposed streetscapes, <br /> such as the new shelters proposed for Hewitt Avenue, or to match the <br /> adjacent buildings on the campus. <br /> The pedestrian access routes to bus stops will either be direct interior <br /> routes or well lit, secure exterior routes.
