February 8, 2017 <br /> RFP — EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE SUPPLIES <br /> To approve Request for Proposal 2016-076 for Emergency Medical <br /> Service Supplies. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Tuohy who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> ACTION ITEMS: <br /> COUNCIL BILL 1701-06 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE regulating For-Hire Vehicles and repealing the <br /> existing For-Hire Ordinance under Section 17 <br /> Katie Rathbun, Legal, provided an overview of the proposed changes to <br /> the ordinance. <br /> Vice President Franklin spoke about the proposed amendments related to <br /> scaling fees and allowing TNCs to accept street hails. <br /> Jennifer Sanfilippo, Lynnwood; Dan Tuffey, Everett; Adisu Aramde, <br /> Edmonds; David Maynard, Lynnwood; and Mark Ford, Seattle, spoke in <br /> opposition to the proposed ordinance. <br /> Moved by Council Member Franklin, seconded by Council Member <br /> Bader, to consider the following amendments to the proposed <br /> ordinance: <br /> 1. to reduce license fees for small businesses; <br /> 2. to authorize TNCs to accept street hails, if TNC vehicle has a <br /> meter. <br /> 52 <br />
