J <br /> NOTICE TO BIDDERS <br /> CITY OF EVERETT,WASHINGTON <br /> SODA ASH FEEDER UPGRADE PROJECT <br /> WATER FILTRATION PLANT <br /> Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by the City Clerk at the City <br /> Clerk's Office, 1st Floor Wall Street Building, 2930 Wetmore, Everett, Washington <br /> 98201, until 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, November 1st, for the construction of the Soda Ash <br /> Feeder Upgrade Project at the Everett Water Filtration Plant (EWFP), described more <br /> completely in the specifications and contract documents, entitled "City of Everett, <br /> Washington, Specifications for Water Filtration Plant Soda Ash Feeder Upgrade Project," <br /> and will then and there be opened and publicly read aloud. <br /> A pre-bid walk-through is scheduled at 1:00 in the afternoon on Tuesday, October 18th, <br /> 2005, at the Everett Water Filtration Plant, 6133 Lake Chaplain Road, Sultan, <br /> Washington, 98294. Plan on 1 hour for the site visit. It is required that all prospective <br /> bidders attend a walk-through. <br /> Plans, specifications, addenda, and plan holders list for this project may be viewed or <br /> ordered on-line from Builders Exchange at http://www.bxwa.com/public/everett.html. <br /> The City of Everett strongly encourages contractors to register for the bidder's list kept <br /> at Builder's Exchange of Washington, Inc. Builder's Exchange is located at 2607 <br /> Wetmore Avenue, Everett, WA 98201. Their phone number is 425-258-1303. Any <br /> addenda to the contract documents will be posted on the Builders Exchange website; it <br /> is the bidder's responsibility to ensure they have acquired all addenda prior to <br /> submitting a bid. <br /> For technical questions regarding this project, contact John McClellan, City of Everett, <br /> Public Works Department, at 425-257-8200. <br /> All proposals must be made.upon the regular forms provided for this purpose and must be <br /> accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than five percent <br /> (5%) of the total amount(s) of the bid(s). A one hundred percent (100%) Corporate <br /> Surety Performance Bond will be required of the successful bidder to guarantee faithful <br /> performance of the contract. <br /> The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any irregularities or <br /> informalities. No bidder may withdraw his bid after the hour set for the opening thereof. <br /> The City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest of <br /> the City.
