CITY OF EVERETT <br />CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. <br />A Resolution of the Everett City Council expressing support <br />for the submittal of grant for a market study and draft design <br />standards to help implement the Comprehensive Plan <br />WHEREAS, the City of Everett has the opportunity to apply for State of Washington Grant funds to help <br />implement the recently adopted Comprehensive Plan, and <br />WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan calls for a market study to review the housing market for target <br />areas within Everett, and <br />WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan calls for housing design standards to implement the market study <br />for target areas within Everett, and <br />WHEREAS, the Everett City Council finds: <br />I . The redevelopment of Everett using market analysis and design standards is a desirable project. <br />2. The goals of the City of Everett include creating an improved neighborhood character, <br />provide for a variety of housing choices including market rate for sale housing, and the <br />integration of rental and ownership opportunities are very worthwhile. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />EVERETT THAT: <br />1. The City Council recognizes the need to do a market study and draft design standards for the <br />neighborhoods north and south of the downtown. <br />2. The City Council supports the grant application for $35,000.00 to the State of Washington to do a <br />market study and draft design standards for the neighborhoods north and south of the downtown <br />to help implement the recently adopted Comprehensive Plan. <br />Councilman Introducing Resolution <br />22 <br />
