Extension of a Variance. <br /> � The Planning Director or designee is authorized to grant a six <br /> m onth estension to a variance which hns been grnnted provided a <br /> 3 written request is sub mitted in writing to the Planning Director <br /> prior to the expiration of the one year period and the Planning <br /> � Director or designee finds th�t the applicant has made a good faith <br /> effort to obtain a building permit and/or occupancy permit within <br /> 10 the one year time frame. The decision of the Planning Director or <br /> designee shall be final, subject to revie w by the Board, provic?�d a <br /> >> written request mus; be made with the Board ;vithin ten (10) days <br /> of the date of the decision by the Planning Direct��r or designee. <br /> 12 <br /> 3. Denial of a Variance. <br /> �J <br /> Tlie decision of the Board denying a variance shall become <br /> �� effective as of the date set forth in the Board's written order. Appeal Period. <br /> 17 <br /> 13 The action of the Board in granting or denying a variance shall be <br /> final and conelusive, unless within fifteen (15) dnys from the <br /> effective date of the Board's written order an aggr?eved person or <br /> i� persons obtains a wri! of Gertiorari fro m the Superior Court of <br /> 2� Wnshington for Snohomish County, for purpose of review of the <br /> action taken. <br /> 2] <br /> 22 Section 8: Section 20(I) of Ordinance No. 3572 (EhIC I9.70.090) which reads as <br /> follows: <br /> 23 <br /> 24 I. Meetings. <br /> 25 Meetings of the B�ard shall be held at least one each month, and at <br /> 2G such other time as the Chuirman of the Board may determine. There shall <br /> be a fixed place of ineetings, and all regular Board meetings shall be open <br /> 27 to !he public. Notice of all public hearings before the Board shall be <br /> given by publication in the City official newspaper at least 7 days prior to <br /> 28 the date set for the henring.
