Granting of a Jariance. <br /> The decision of the Board grauting a variance sha11 become <br /> eFfecti-�2 as of the date set forth i.n the Board's written <br /> order. If a buil.din� permit and/or occupancy permit is <br /> nct obtained by the applicant within one year from the <br /> effective date of' tne nont�l's written order, the Board's <br /> decision shall oease to be effective. <br /> 2. Extension of a Variance. <br /> The Planning Director or designcae is authorized to grant a <br /> six month extension to a vari.ance whicn has been granted <br /> provided a uritten request is submitted in writing to tha <br /> Plannin� Director prior to bne expiration of the one year <br /> period and the Planning Director or designee finds ttiat <br /> the applicant has made a good faith effort to obtain a <br /> building permit and/or occupancy permit within the one <br /> year ti.me frame. The decision of the Planning Director ur <br /> designee shall be final, subject to review by the Board, <br /> provided a written re�uest m�ast be made with the Board <br /> within ten (10) days of tkie date of th2 decision by the <br /> Planning Director or designee. <br /> 3. Denial of a Variancr:. <br /> The decision of the 9oard denying a variance shall become <br /> eFfective as of tne date set fcrth in the floard's writLen <br /> order. Appeal Period. <br /> The action of the Board in granting or denying a varianr.e <br /> shall be Final and concl.usive, unless �aithin fifteen (15) <br /> days froca the efFective date of tne Board's written order <br /> an aggrieved person or persons obtains a �.rrit uf <br /> certiorari from the Superior Court of Washington for <br /> Snohomish County, for purpose of review of the action <br /> taken. <br /> 4. Finding: Ordinance tdo. 3572 as amended by Ord. 3826 ('n.M.C. 19.70.020) <br /> which was the controlling Ordinance in 1968 which determined what an <br /> applicant may or may not apply for, reads as follows: <br /> B.
