The City's response is as follows: 1. Work performed by contractors (category /fl) is to be inspected as the a�ork is completed. Inspections can be requested by calling 259-8810 one day in advance or in some cases the same day (depending on city workload), if requested prior to 830 a.m. This is not meant to preclude inspecting more than one job pe: insepction visit to the site. 2. Work performed by Kimberly-Clark employees is to be inspected quarterly. A list of work completed in each quarter ca�: be submittecl with the permit application to this office. An inspection visit will be scheduled with the appropriate Kimberly- Clark staff (this should be included with job list), and the inspection performed. ihis posirion is based primarily on the fact that the City enforces the National Electrical Code, as amended by the State of Washington and as authorized by RCW 19.28.210. This secdon of the reviseci code of Washington provides for this contingent upon the city program b.eing one of equal or higher standard to that required by the state. In addition, the City has several other large manufacturing campuses to serve and this program will offer an equitable level of inspec;tion service to similar clients when factoring the amount of work these campuses generate to inspect and the inspection requests of other clients tha� must also be completed. The City will be willing to revisit the inspection frequency of categories #2 and 3, if after a trial period the workload of city staff and the actual number and scope of work performed justifies a revision in this schedule.
