The proposal meets the intent and purpose of the landscaping required in the zoning code.
The applicant will provide a row of shrubs within a two foot wide landscape strip along
the east, side of the building and a five foot wide landscape strip along the alley. The
additional landscaping along the alley will provide the same amount of landscaping that
would otherwise be required along the east side of the building.
The zoning code requires that the applicant and property owners within 300 feet of the
subject lot be notified of the Planning Director's decision and the procedures for appeal of
the decision. The applicant or property owners within 300 feet of the subject lot may
appeal the Planning Director's decision within ten (10) days of the date of this letter.
Appeal forms are available from. the Planning Department and must be submitted along
with the required filing fee. Please call Steve Ingalsbe at 259-8731 if you have any
questions.
PAUL A. ROBERTS, DIRECTOR
PLANNING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
