These comments address building issues onlyr additional <br />revisions or additions may be required by other departmenu (such as Udlities, Planning <br />or Fire). All references refer to the 1991 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the <br />State of Washington and /or Washington State Energy l:ode 1994, lst Edidon, unless <br />stated otherwise. <br />1. Provide smoke detectors in all sleeping rooms and in the corridor or azea giving <br />access to each separate sleeping azra, per 1210 UBC. <br />2. Provide tempered glass at required hazardous locadons per 5406 UBC. <br />3. Door at garage swings out. A door may swing over a landing that is not more <br />than 1" betow the threshold. <br />4. Provide section and details of interior and exterior stairway showing: <br />a. Maximum rise and minimum run <br />b. Minimum width <br />c. Minimum head room <br />d. Framing (stringer size, bracing connections, footings) <br />e. Enclosed useable space unr'er stairway required one-hour fire-resistive <br />construction on the enclosed sides. <br />f. Continuous handrails <br />g. Handrail above tread nosing <br />h. Spacing of intermediate rails. <br />i. Size of handrail <br />j.
