4. There appears to be improper venting from the plumbing located in the downstairs <br />kitchen of the principal building. <br />5. The roof of the principal building is covered with moss and the rafter ends are exposed <br />to the weather and are decaying. The roof of the accessory building is covered with <br />moss and shows general signs of lack of proper maintenance. <br />6. The exterior wood of the principal building has insufficient weather protection and is <br />partially exposed to the elements. The exposed exterior wood on the accessory <br />building is unprotected from the weather and showing signs of decay. <br />7. The roof decking of the principal building is decayed and the area at the southeast <br />corner is rotten. The exterior wood on the accessory building is showing signs of <br />decay. <br />The following conditions render the subject property dangerous pursuant to the City of <br />Everett Dangerous Building Abatement Ordinance, Ordinance No. 2333-98, codified as <br />Chapter 16.12 of the Everett Municipal Code: <br />1. The roofing materials are deteriorated and rotted to such an extent that they are loose, <br />unstable, and will not resist wind pressures. <br />2. Portions of the roof decking and rafters are rotted, deteriorated and falling from the <br />building. <br />3. The buildings and premises constitute a public nuisance known at common law or in <br />equityjurisprudence. <br />The following conditions are in violation of the City of Everett Rubbish Code, Ordinance <br />No. 1554-89, codified as Chapter 8.20 of the Everett Municipal Code: <br />1. There is discarded lumber, dead vegetation, discarded household equipment, and <br />debris stored on the property. <br />If. CORRECTIVE ACTION REQUIRED <br />• The buildings on the subject property must be either (A) Repaired in accordance with <br />all current Building Code requirements and ail other applicable City of Everett codes or <br />(B) Demolished. <br />• All discarded lumber, dead vegetation, discarded household equipment, and debris <br />must be removed immediately from the premises and properly disposed of. <br />III. REPAIR <br />If you elect to repair the buildings in accordance with current Building Code requirements <br />and all other applicable City of Everett codes, all required permits must be secured therefor <br />and the work physically commenced within thirty (30) days of the date of this Violation <br />Citation. All work must be completed within ninety (90) days of the date of this Violation <br />Citation. <br />IV. DEMOLITION <br />If you elect to demolish the buildings, all required permits must be secured therefor and the <br />work physically commenced within thirty (30) days of the date of this Violation Citation. <br />VIOLATION CITATION �3 <br />2116 MAIN STREET <br />OCTOBER 15, 1999 <br />
