r. <br />��� (;_.. <br />31. As an alternative to the specially designated car washing <br />area, hose bibs can be eliminated from the site or tenant <br />access to ck:em prevented. If this option is exercised, the <br />tenant lease or rental agreement must contain a clause <br />prohibiting car washing or. the site. A covenant mu�st be <br />recorded and signed by the owner stating that such a clause <br />will be written into the tenant leases and/or rrzntal <br />agreements. In addition, a note stating that car washing is <br />prohibited on the site must be added on the storm drainage <br />plans. <br />32. All storm drains in the complex must be stenciled with <br />substantially the following language: "Dump No Waste Drains <br />to Wetland". This reminder is typica�ly spray painted onto <br />the qround adjacent to the catch basin. The treatment must be <br />repeated when the paint wears off. <br />33. The Washington State Clean Air Act requires the use of all <br />known, available, and reasonable means of controlling air <br />poll�ition, including dust. Dust generated during construction � <br />activitie:; can be controlled by wetting those dust sources <br />such as area� of pxposeH soils, washing truck wheels before <br />they leave the site, and installing and maintaining gravel <br />construction entrances. Const-.-uction vehicle track-out is <br />also a major dust source. Any evidence of track-out can <br />trigger violations and fines from the Department of Ecology or <br />the Puget Sound Air Pollution Cuntrol Agency. � <br />Fire Department Comments: <br />34. A fire hydrant is required within 200 driving feet but not <br />closer than 50 feet of every structure. The location of the <br />hydrant must be approved by the Fire Marshall. <br />35. The plans submitted for review by the Fire Dept. do not <br />indicate the proposed construction type for this project. The <br />listed height/number of stories would require Type II 1-hour <br />or Type III 1-hour construction. More information will be <br />required for a complete review. <br />36. A sprinkler system complying with NFPA Standard 1`s must be <br />provided. Plans for any such system must be submitted to the <br />Building Department and the Everett Fire Marshal's Office for <br />examination and approval. Such plans must include plans for <br />the underground mains that wil'. supply the sprinkler system. <br />Aboveground sprinkler pipinq must be hydrostatically tested as <br />established in NFPA Standard 13. Underground piping must be <br />hydrostatically tested and flushed as estahlished in NFPA <br />Standard 24 for private fire mains. All such tests must be <br />witnessed by a Fire Department Inspector. Call 259-8710 to <br />make an appointment for inspection.
