<br /> My name is Sue Holmstrom and I have owned thz above parcel since February 1991, my mother and I had purchased the
<br /> duplex being built. Parz of the reason we picked this particular piece of property was the fact the north side of the
<br /> property has protected wetlands and we would always have that buffer, another reason was, the private road _nded at
<br /> our unit, there would be no other tra�c than the duplex across from us. Because of the protected wetlands, we had to
<br /> build our fence inside the property line. There was a small brook there whe� we first bought. I used to be able to walk
<br /> around to the back side of the fence to trim weeds and blackberries.
<br /> Back in 1991 when we first this property, the property on the north side was undeveloped except for a few wooden
<br /> dilapidated shed type buildings the were on th? property, I do have some old pictures that will shovd the sheds. I am not
<br /> sure when, but shortly after we moved in, my mother was told that the shed were being used to store stolen property
<br /> and the properly owner was told to removed the shed, they were a safety hazard. I believe the property was owned by
<br /> the Deloris Hancock Estate, but not sure at tha[time. Whoever owned the property hired someone to come in a remove
<br /> the sheds, well they came in with a machine that had a blade/scrapper like attachment and literaliy just scrapped the
<br /> sheds, in doing so they uncover many of the plant roots. So over the following years, more and morr. of the soil just kept
<br /> washing away, the little creek was gone and trees started leaning on the fence on the north side of L ie property. My
<br /> mom passed in 1999, I was very close to my mom and her death was very hard for me. Not to mention, her death left
<br /> me some financial problems.
<br /> By 2001, I had to cut trees of the back nr my shed, the trees had pushed in the wall and ruined a loi of the things I
<br /> stored. I tried to call for help at tha[time. I was advised by the county that we had been annexed into the city of Everett
<br /> and I would need to contact the city. They of course gave me the name of the property owner and said I would have to
<br /> deal with them.Tliat proved to be a wasted effort- no response. So I had someone cut the trees off my shed and threw
<br /> away tl�e damaged items.
<br /> ! ey 2003, the problem of the leaning trees had gotten much worse, again I had to cut trees off the back of the shed,
<br /> a again ruining the repair job I had to do a few years earlier. Still not getting help form any city agent to resolve the issue.
<br /> In 2006, a large tree had finally fallen onto my fence, knocking it down, but luckily the fence post kept the tree from
<br /> rotally falling onto the house. I had to pay �350 to get the trez removed, so I could then :iave the fence rebuild. Well the
<br /> ience contractor had a problem because the soil on the north side of my property had washed away, so now I had to
<br /> move the fence further inside the I�t line. I am still under the impression these are protected wetlands. Due to all the
<br /> erosion and washing away of the soil on the north side of my fence, ttiey gardens that lined the entire yard were
<br /> drowning and neing overcome by the weeds and blackberrizs spreading into the yard.
<br /> Now one of the issues that I find most irritating is the fact, o��r the years as my property is being destroyed by the
<br /> erosion my property taxes are going through the roof. I will be hones:, I do not understand why if my property has been
<br /> annexed as is now Ciry of Everett, why am I paying taxes for the Mukilteo School District, if I had children, they v+ouldn't
<br /> go to school in Mukilteo, they would go to school in the Everett School District.
<br /> In 2007, my renter call me at 7:30 am and tells me there is a bulldozer at the property north of mine and they are pulling
<br /> out the trees alon9 my fence line. I went to talk to the man running the machine, he was polite at first but when I started
