Dougherty :
°PT April 18, 1974
suen_cr 122 Aoyt nr e -, r.:r vrteu ,.:,v!i::,,ior.
An Glectrical Inspection was nade at 1722 lioyt as you requested. 'Phe folloo:ing
conditions werc found:
The panel had at one time been protected aith fuse stats as evidence of tlie
mangled bases tltat are left. Puse stats and non-tamperaUle must be used. All
fuses in the panel aere 30 amper rated on wire that is approved for 15 amp,
Circuits were doubled up on the fuses. This is not permitted by code. 3otl
panels are in the lower apartme.tt and violates the code rule oP having the
service uvailable to eacl te.:!:t. There were insufficient number of outlets
in tle aparLments which caused the use of extention cords. Of the five rooms
in each of the apartmeuts, I found three outlets upstairs and four outlets down
stairs. Tle light fi:ture in the downstairs apartment had been removed because
of tle insulation Uurr.ed off the fixture ioire. Tlic two exposed wires have
been added to the orig-,inal housc oiring and oP what I could see, iC is not
acceptable to code.
The upper apartmenL' is fed off one circuit only. There are no appliance circuits
and also a lack of outlets. As a witole, I do not fcel the house is adaquatcly
wired to be used as a duplex.
Larger size paneis should Ue installed for Uoth apartments in addition to more
outlets in each,
Respecttully
L.
