Mr, Fu11cr renresented hinself and nade the statement that because of an <br />error in figuring tne square footaqe of the buildinqs, only forty-iive <br />(95) parkinq sFaces were required rather than sixty-eiqht (68). tdr. <br />Jatnie Johnson, the IIuildinq Official, verified this�amount. 61r, Fuller <br />also made the statesnent that there was other off-street parkin9 available <br />to the rear of his business and that he o�as allowed to utilize the parY.inq <br />spaces in that area, However, the use of this parking has been by a vertal <br />agreement. � � . .� � <br />Mr, Ted Dahl, aho owns the property to the southwest of 2902 ttewitt, ��as <br />against the granting of the variance for the following reasons: <br />0 <br />1, That he hcpes to construct a future parking lot ar.d did not wisn <br />the customers of 2902 to use his lot. <br />2� That he was required to do some paving and landscaoing and felt <br />p1r. Fuller should do the same. <br />3. That he had to buy a9ditional property to provide the parking ar.d <br />felt that Mr. Fuller should also do the same. <br />Aftez visually viewing the subject property and considering all the facts <br />and testinony, it was moved by Fir. Russell, seconded by Dlr, Slack, and <br />unanimously carried, to grant t'�.e variance as the request meets the require- <br />ments of Sectlon 19.70.060 of the Everett tdunicipal Code, which states: <br />1. That such variance is necessary for t}:e preservation and <br />enjoyment of a substantial property right of the appellant <br />possessed by the owners of other properties in the same . <br />vicinity or zone. <br />2, That the authorization o£ such variance will not be detrimental <br />to the public welfare or injurious to property in the vicinity <br />or zone in which the property is located, <br />3.
