Finding: There was substantial testimony from okher <br />property oc.ners in the vicinity that there already exist <br />significant parking problems in thia area. Some of the <br />testisony pertained to parking lota for clfnica and other <br />businesses in rhe area being used by residente in the <br />area, the unavailability of on-etreet parking, and the <br />excessive amount of vehicles using the alley betWeen Hoyt <br />and Rucker. The latter was a concern aince there is a <br />aignificant number of aingle family residences in this <br />blocic thak have small children. <br />b. Conclusion: Aur.horization of the variance would be <br />detrimental to the public welfare and inj�rious t� other <br />pruperty i¢ khe vicinir.y and zone sinre it would add <br />eight dwelling unita to ihe area that could furrher <br />impact the parking problem if aufficient off-street <br />parking was not provided. <br />Criterion 114: Tt:ak the granting of such variance will not adversely <br />aff..ct the Comprehensive General Plan. <br />a. Finding: The Comprehensive Plan shows this area as <br />multiple family. Multiple Family Area Residential <br />Policies sr.a[e thar. adequate off-atreet parking should be , <br />provided in multiple family projects. <br />b.
