Finding: There vae subetantial testimony from other <br />property ownera in the vicinity that there already exist <br />significant parking problems in thia area. Some of the <br />tesr{mony pertained to parking lota for clinics and other <br />buaine.3ses in the area being uaed by reaidents in the <br />area, che unavailability of on-street parking, and rhe <br />excess!.ve amount of vehicles using the alley between Hoyt <br />and Rucker. The latter was a concern aince khere is a <br />significant number of aingle family residences in this <br />block that have small children. <br />b. Conclusion: Authorization of the variance vould be <br />detrimental r.o the public welfare and injurious to other <br />property in the vicinity and zone since it would add <br />eight dwelling unita to the area that could fu-ther <br />impact the parking problem if aufficient oif-street <br />parking was not provided. <br />Criterion N4: That the granting of auch variance will not adversely <br />affect the Comprehenaive General Plan. <br />a. Finding: The Comprehensive Plan showe this area as <br />multiple family. Multiple Family Area Residential <br />Policies atate that adeqaate off-street parking ahould be <br />provlded in muitiple family projecta. <br />b. Conclueion: Granting the variance could adversely <br />affect the parki¢g policy of the Comprehensive Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of.
