Cover the upper roof 1" x 4" fascia with new fascia grade 1" x 6" cedar boards. CoNractor lo prepare the roo( luwer edges along the rear one slory section of the house and along the rear shed, making lhe fascia ail the same widlh and complete in preparation for new gutters. Nete that adjustments will need lo be made where the north fence runs inlo the rear roof to allow for gutters. Also, note that the north side 2" x 6" fascia is tilted (not plumb) which is acceptabie, providing that the new gutters are insta!led upright with metal wedges. Roof cover. Contraclor to close in all soaced roof sheathing nver the second story and front porch with 7/16" O.S.B. sheathing. Frame and close in ihe open roof space (where plaslic panels have been removed) betwer_n the house and rear shed with 1/2" CCX plywood on framing. Contractor lo cover all roof areas with 25 year fiberglass laminated shingles, Elk shingles or equal, over 15# felt. Contraclor to register the warranty wilh the manufaclurer and leave a copy with lhe cwner. Owner lo select the roofing color. Roof flashinqs and ventilation. Install "colored" metal drip edge along ail roof gable ends. Cul in proper melal counter Oashings where lhe lower rear roof butts inlo the wall o( the second story. Contractor to add venlilation to house attic arPas by installing a continuous ridge vent along the top ridge of the upper roof (second story) and along the top ridge of the lower roof.
