To Dotti Jilg, Utility Billing
FROM Marian Payne, Housing Inspector /W
DATE October 6, 1986
sUBJEcAll7 Hoyt
CITY OF EVEPETT. EVERETT VJASHINGTON
Pursuant to our phone conversation on Oct. 2, 1986 and the receipt of a copy
of a letter you received form Dr. Brust concerning an inspection of the structure
and the finding that 4117 Hoyt is uninhabitable, I never inspected the structure
and never received a request to inspect the house.
In answer to your question "will there be notice sent to your office to shut off
the water?", I don't know anything about the inspection therefore I can't require
the water to be shut off.
I have not found a file on this house. We cannot assume that an inspection was
made, there must be something substiantial to fall back on. For over 15 years
now it has been a policy of the Housing Inspector to send a "Notice of Posting"
to vour office when a structure is posted "Illegal to Occupy". If you 'izve not
received such a notice for 4117 Hoyt, the water service can only be shut off
by Dr. Brust.
If there has been a change in this policy, I have not been notified.
cc: Larry Callahan
Larry Crawford
