WA 98203
Subject: Geotechnical Services Report
5910 A & B Larimer Road
Everett, Washington
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Van Derbeken & Mr and Mrs. Keck:
This report presents the results of our recent evaluation of the above noted property at 5910A &
B Larimer Road in Everett, Washington. The purpose of this study was to evaluate a landslide
that had occurred on the slope area immediately behind (west of) the two affected residential
properties and extended onto the yard areas of the properties. Following our evaluation we were
to provide recommendations and geotechnical design parameters to stabilize the slope and
provide suitable protection to the residences.
SITE CONDITIONS
The subject properties (Van Derbeken and Keck) are located on the west side of Larimer Road
near the toe of a steep descending slope that extends from below the 1-5 freeway down to below
the cast side of Larimer Road. Overall slope height is several hundred feet. The lower portion of
the slope, in the area of the ongoing landslide, has a slope gradient on the order of 35%. Surface
grade in the lower yard area is about elevation 87 feet. The upper area of the landslide is about
elevation 120. Two tiers of rockeries are located in the yard area. A grass landscape area is
located on the flat area above the lower rockery. An undeveloped natural area is located above
the upper rockery.
Gary A.
