This subsection mimics the above criteria except the condition
which limits the variance to allow a lesser degree of floodproofing than watertight or dry-
floodproofing, where it can be determined that such action wili have low damage potential
and otherwise complies with Subsections 30.050.A.1 and 30.050.A.2. This standard
requires new construction to be anchored, that the materials be resistant to flood damage,
and that electrical, heating, ventilation, plumbing, and other service facilities be deigned or
elevated so as to prevent water from entering the components during conditions of flooding.
The applicant has stated that these standards will be met.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Adjustment for the City of Everett does hereby order that
the requested variance be APPROVED subject to meeting all other zoning code
requirements.
The action of the Board of Adjusiment in GRANTING a variance shall be final and
conclusive, unless within 21 days from the date of issuance and signing of this order by the
Chairman of the Board, an aggrieved person or persons obtains a writ of certiorari from the
Superior Court of Washington for Snohomish County for the purpose of review of the action
taken.
DATED this 4th day of May 1998. 1
Chairman, Bodrd of Adjustment
