lote: ihat whiie there is no way to be certain that peak flows will reach
240 in year 2020, it needs be remembered that peak flows are just that,
flows of short durtion, and that normal flows are significantly lower.
Also, LID efforts now under way, even if not successful in the short term,
most certainly will be sooner or later, and when that does occur, any
concerns such as this become moot.
As a result, I would suggest you consider approving our moving foreword with a
design anc an application for connection to meet the following requirements:
1. Install one SPG Aurora Pump (Hydromatic Pump Grinder) having a 1-
1/4 inch discharge, and a 5 inch impeiler able to discharge SGPM at
97 feet of head.
2. Force main to be 2 inch pipe discharging through a 2 inch sleave
tapped into the 30 ductile iron portion of the South End Sewer
Interceptor.
3. Tap to be made by Speer Taps, or by a contractor ot the Cities
choosing.
4. Install a 2 inch shutoff valve at the 30 inch line.
5. Install a 2 inch check valve at Pump.
6. Install a 2 inch shutoff valve at pump to allow check valve servicing.
7. Install a 65 gal sewage ejector basin with simpiex steel cover.
S. Provide assurance that when LID comes into play, that 8120 Larimer
will join without any special provisions.
9 Provide assurance that should the LID not come into play beiore the
year 2020 or before the discharge head requirements exceed that
projected for the year 2020, that 8120 Larimer will install an upgraded
pump to accommodate this future situation.
Dan, if tl-is approach satisfies conceptuafly realistic City requirements, we will
put together adequate documents showiny the specifics for City review and
approval prior to receiving final contractor proposals for installation.
