W <br />April 2, 1973 - (Continued) <br />Mr. Saunders, of the D. A. Duryee Company, mentioned the 15 acres to <br />the rear of the property his company owns. They had no objection to the <br />variance being asked. <br />' I There was no further comment or objection from the audience. <br />After visual observation of the subject property and considering all the facts, <br />it was moved by Mr. Cronin, seconded by Mr. Baird, and unanimously <br />carried to grant the applicant's request for the following reasons: <br />1. There are exceptional circumstances that do apply to the subject <br />property that do not apply generally to other properties in the same vicinity. <br />2. The granting of the variance is necessary for the applicants <br />enjoyment of his property rights that are enjoyed by other properties in the <br />same vicinity. <br />3. Granting of the variance will not be detrimental to other properties <br />in the area. <br />4. - The granting of the variance will not adversely affect the Comprehensive <br />Land Use Plan. - <br />A hearing was held on the application of Victor Vogel, 210 - 13th Street, 1 <br />Snohomish, Washington for a variance from Section 15. 04.190 E. C. C. 1 <br />(Zoning Ordinance) Off -Street Parking and Loading Requirements, for permission <br />to provide a minimum of eight off-street parking stalls rather than a minimum <br />of eleven off-street parking spaces. Lots 15 and 16, Block 395, St. Nicholas <br />Addition. 1901 Walnut. B-1 Neighborhood Shopping Zone. <br />Neither Mr. Vogel or any representative for Mr. Vogel were present in the. <br />audience. <br />After considerable discussion by the board members and the Staff, it was <br />moved unanimously to hold over a decision on Mr. Vogel's application until <br />the next Board of Adjustment hearing, May 7, 1973. Mr. Vogel will be <br />contacted and instructed to appear. <br />A hearing was held on the application of Mr. Skaare, Smith, Duryee, and <br />Saunders, 2721 Wetmore, Everett, Washington for a variance from Section <br />15. 04. 190, E. C. C. (Zoning Ordinance) Off -Street Parking and Loading <br />Requirements and Sub -Section E, Paragraph 5 Landscaping and Surfacing <br />for permission to utilize a gravel surface rather than an asphaltic or P. C. <br />concrete as required.
