Final Monitoring REport Page 2
00-2267-1 Hoban Residence Addition, Everett
February 23, 2002
minute and the penetration aciiieved du ing that period being recorded. Providing the
penetration was less than one inch the pile was considered acceptable. If the
penetration was greater than one inch, pile dving was continued until the refusal
criterion was met.
Based on the results of uur proof test monitorin these pin-piles all achieved less than
one half inch of penetration. Thus, all of the installed pin-piles are considered to be
acceptable, and each is capable of developing in excess of four thousand (4,000)
pounds in allowable load bearing capacity. This meets, or exceeds, the original
project specifications. For informational purposes we have provided the results of the
pronf testing program in Table A, attached. Additionally, the identification numbers
and approximate pin-pile locations are shown on the attached Field Construction
Inspection Reports.
We appreciate the opportunity to have been of additional geotechnical assistance to
you on this project and trust that this information is sufficient to complete ycur project
records. Our work on this foundation construction phase of the project was
performed, and our opinions were drived, in a manner consistent with that level of
skill, care and competence ordinarily exercised by other members of the profession in
good standing currently practicing under similar conditions in this area only. No other
warranty, express or implied, is made.
