The result� were used to help verify or modify the field classification of the soils encountered and to help evaluate the soil's c�eoter,hnicai behavior. A brief description of each o'f the tests performed for this study is provided below. The resul:s of laboratory tests perFormed on sper,ific samples are provided at tiie appropriate sample depth on the boring log, or on test data sheets attached to this Appendix. Please understand that test results may not accurately represeni the overall, in-situ soil conditions. Results must be interpreted. Our recommendations are based on our interpretation of test results, along with other information available to us. Test results help guide our engin��ering judgPmer�t. We are not re�ponsible for the inte��retation of these �Jata by others. Soil Classification All soi! samples were visually examined in the field hy our engineer at the time they were obtained. They were subsequently packaged in moisture-proof centainers and retumed to our Redmond cffice where they were re-examined and the original description was verified or modified, as necessary. With ;he help of the information obtained from classification tests, the samples were described in general accordance with the qualitative USCS. l'he resulting descriptions were included at the appropriate sample location on the individual boring logs. A brief summarization of the USCS system is provided on the attached Legend, Plate 9. 5�
