Mr. Russell presided; Mr. <br />Hoagland, Mr. Wilson and Mr. Eckstrom were present. Mr. Zook was absent. <br />Mr. Russell introduced the Board members to the audience. <br />A t�earin9 was held on the application of Clayton Williams, 7'06 E. Casino <br />Road, Everett, 4!ashington 98203, for a variance from the Shor�t Plat OrAinance <br />No. 517-78, Section 200, Easement Access, Paragraph (a) for permission to <br />erovide a twenty (20) fool. permanent access easement road fer access to and <br />from a rear lot {Lot 2') over a front lot (Lot 1) of a proposed short plat. <br />Legal Description: Lot 4, Block 3, Beverly Home Tracts Div. #1 <br />Address: 7706 East Casino Road <br />Zoning: R-1 Single Family Low Dens�ty Residence <br />Mr. Williar� represented himself and had nothing further to add to his application. <br />Mrs. Ruthi Johr�son was against the granting of the variance because the house in <br />the rear is on the property line and should not be allowed tv go any higher <br />than seventeen (17) feet for any alteration or addition that may be constructed <br />on the residence at a later time. This would preserve the view and conform <br />to other properties in the area that have stipulations of seventeen (li) feet <br />for their height limitation. <br />The Board mentioned that the variance request was for an access easement road <br />and it �aould be difficult to restrict height for less Lhan the Zoning Code <br />dictates. <br />There was no further comment from the audience. <br />After visually viewing the subject property and considering all the facts and <br />�estimony it was moved by Mr. Eckstrom, seconded by Mr. Hoagland and unanimously <br />carried to grant the variance as it meets all the requirements of Section <br />19.70.060 of the Everett Municipal Code, Paragraphs 1, 2, 3, and 4 as well as <br />the Short Plat Ordinance 517-78, Section 200, Easement Access. <br />A hearing was held on the apolication of Mr. Routson and Mr. Hesselgrave, <br />�Z� Leon_a_rd D_riv� Everett, Washington 98201, for a variance from Section <br />19,4f3.030 of the Everett Municipal Code, Conversions, Paragraph C, for permission <br />to convert a single family residence to a duplex and be d��GY!°d exterior <br />structural changes other than that �.•hich is required for ingress and egress; <br />_J <br />
