(

' i
i
, . '
Mr. Dave Williams
July 17, 1989
Based on our observations, it appears that the general house excavation will provide
adequate support for a single family residence using design soil bearing capacity of a
2,000 pounds per square foot. The excavation appears to bear generally within the firm
native soils beneath any near surface surficial fills. We recommend that all foundation
subgrades be examined after forming, to make sure that all mud and soft soils have been
removed from the form areas. At the time of our site visit, we discussed with you general
recommendations for drainage and foundations £or the house. P:ease note, our opinions
are based only on visual observations of the existing excavation and our general
knowledge of the subsoils involved. We have not conducted a geotechnical study for the
project and cannot assess the general stability of the entire lot.
We hope that this letter provides yau with the information necessary to continue with the
project. If you have any questions regarding our observations, please call.
Sincerely yours,
TERRA ASSOCIATES INC. ..••=.
 ' \` BUT

. •
  n ` 1 1 P. oF W II Sp :
CSW.X.✓J0 . t ,`, ' \ :
Paul K.
