The A35 framing angle specified at the roof rafters is not intended for a"plate type" <br /> connection. Provide connector intended for a flat condition. Specify hanger used at top and bottom of new 2x6 attached to existing 2x6 rafters. <br /> LUS210 hangers, as shown on Rafler Modification detail, page 2. <br /> 3. Provide calculations for loading of new rafters and the attachment to existing rafters. <br /> Upon recommendation from nn insulation contractor, we will not be adding the 2 x 4 <br /> attachment and plywood strapping to the eristing rafte�s. By using 10 1/4-inch high <br /> density R-38, less rafter depth will be required. 2 x 1 furring will be attached with ring <br /> shank coil nails, as shown on Rafter Modification detail, page 2. <br /> 4. Plans call out an LSTA 24 at the south end of the new S 1/8"x 18"GLB (the beam <br /> extends beyond the post supporting it). What is the strap tie transferring tension loads to, <br /> and in the location shown the LSTA would only be attached to the GLB. Please clarify. <br /> The south end of the GLB wi11 be cut even with the 4 x b post supporting it to allo�v for <br /> an MSTA30 strap to securely transfer the tension loads. In addition,the GL[3 and 4 x 6 <br /> post are tied together by 2 �4 bracing along their east and west sides, ns shown on GLB <br /> Supporl Detail, page 2. <br /> 5. Provide strap tie(s)at discontinuous plate(s)in living room(where past supporting GLB <br /> interrupts double top plate); show on plans. CS 16 �vill be used, as sho�m on GLB <br /> Support Detail, page 2. <br /> 6. Provide egress window in new bedroom in the basement. Specify window size.
