There is currently no proposal to <br /> replace them. <br /> Mitigation Measures <br /> No additional mitigation is required. <br /> Section 9:HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL RESOURCES <br /> The site is within the Hewitt Avenue National Resister District and is on the Everett Register as a <br /> "contributing structure." Since the structure was dama5ed beyond repair by a fire, there are no <br /> reasonable alternatives to demolition. <br /> Mitigation Measures <br /> 1. The owner shall either: a) construct a new structure within six months; or, b) install substantial <br /> interim landscaping. <br /> 2. Since it is highly unlikely that a new development can be designed, financed and built within six <br /> months, the owner shall submit a landscape plan within 60 days of the date of this decision and <br /> complete landscape installation within 90 days of the date of this decision. Interim landscaping <br /> shall include the following: <br /> • Ornamental shrubs and flowers in a bed af not less than 20 feet in width around the north <br /> and east property lines abutting the public street; <br /> • Type IV (erosion control) landscaping on the remainder of the property, per Subsection <br /> 35.OSO.D of the 2oning Code. <br /> 3. Future redevelopment oF the site must include architectural elements which complement the <br /> significant charecteristics of neighboring historic buildings. <br /> Section 10: FISN AND WILOLIfE <br /> 10.1 Mitigation Required by Existing Regulations <br /> Measures to mitigate i�npacts to fish and wildlife habitat are not necessary for the continued <br /> redevelopment of Downtown.
