Since <br /> the date of the notifiation I have complied with tfie municipal code and removed my merdundiu from <br /> the sidewalk�rea. <br /> Punuant to the municip�l code,I wish to submit a fortnal rcquest to obtain a waiver for the reach of <br /> sidewalk directly in front of the buildi�leased to Attic Treasurcs at 2114A and 21148 Hewitt Avenue <br /> with non-restricted authoriz�Non for placing merchandise within thr public�ight-of-way. The existing <br /> sidewalk is approximately 15 feet wide and I am requestinB a Iimited width encroachment of 4 feet wide <br /> by 60 feet bng dtrcctly adlacent to the storefront windows and solely during busioess houn. Display of <br /> my merchandfse within the sidewalk area is p�nmount for the viability of my bustness and further <br /> attrocts buyers and retail to the downtown area of Everett East of Xflnity Arena that curcently promotes <br /> less retail and caters to commerctal vendors. <br /> Seafon D of the referenced municipal rnde indiwtes that"objects permitted upo�sidewalk areas in <br /> connectbn with a special occasion ar merchant promotional activity shall not be granted tor a period tn <br /> excess of fourteen days". The code is unclear whether the frequency of the 14 day period is within a <br /> year,a month,or consecutive. With the limited we�ther windovrs afforded in this geographic region,l <br /> am requesting authori[atlon to display my merchandise on any favorable weather day vrithin normal <br /> business hours and solely within the requested encroachment of 4 feet wide into the sidewaik arca. <br /> I am interested in meeting in perso�or appealing to the City Coundt as pertnitted to plead my repuest <br /> for waiver. <br /> Tha�k you in advance for your consideration with my request.
