The rules and reg�tlationa of the <br />Department of Labor and Induetries and the echedule or prevailing <br />wage ratea for the locslity or localities where thia Contrac� <br />will be performed as determined by the Induatrial Statist;cian of <br />the Department of Labor and Industries, are by reference made a <br />part of thia Contract as though fully set forth herein. <br />Inasmuch as the Contractor xill be held responeible for paying <br />the prevalling wages, it is imperative that all Contractora <br />familiarize themselves with the cuzrent Wage rates before <br />submitting bida based on theee apecifications. <br />gach voucher claim suEmltted by a Contractor for paymeat on a <br />project ahall atate prevailiag wages have been paid in accardance <br />with the prefiled Statement or Statementa of Intent on file with <br />the Department of Labor and Induatries as approved by the <br />Industrial Statiatician. <br />(25) A. The Contractor agreee to be bouad by all Federal and State <br />lave, regulatione and policiee against diecrimination and <br />agreea not to discriminate against any employee or <br />applicanr for employment because of race, color, religion, <br />sez, age, handicap, marital state, or national origln. <br />Such actiona atiall include but not be limited to, the <br />following: employmeae, upgrading, desotione, or <br />traneitions; ratee of pay or other forme of coupessation; <br />selection for training including apprenticeehip; and <br />participation ia recreational and educational activltiee. <br />The Contractor agrees to post in coneplcuous placee <br />available to employeea and applicants for employment notice <br />setting farth the provisione of thls nondiacriminatlan <br />clause. The Contractor will in all aolicitationa and <br />advertiaementa for employees placed by or on behalf of the <br />Contractor srate that all qualified applicanta will receive <br />consideratlon for employment vithout regard to race, color, <br />religion, eez, age, handicap, marltal etate or national <br />origin. The Contractor rtill cauae the foregoing provlsiana <br />to be inserted in all eubcontracta for any work covered by <br />this Agreement so that euch provieions xill be binding upon <br />each subcontractor. <br />The Contractor ahall keep euch records and aubmit auch <br />reports concerning the racial and ethnic origin of <br />applicants for employment and employeee as the City may <br />require. <br />The Contractor agrees to camply with su�h rulea, <br />regulations or guidelinea as the City may iesue to <br />implement theee requirements effective on the date of this <br />Agreement. <br />-7- <br />�� <br />
