I <br />FROM: Marian P�yne, Housing Inspector <br />DATE: Sept. 19, 1991 <br />SUBJ: 2504 Highland Ave., Everet:t, WA <br />After receiving a complaint regarding this r:�:tal unit, an <br />inapection was conducted and the following deliciencies were <br />noted pursuant to the Uniform }{ousing Code: <br />1. <br />The electrical s�rvice fuse box is located in the <br />building at 2506 Highland Ave. and is not accessible to <br />the tenants in 2504 Highland Ave. <br />2. Smoke detector does not functi.on. <br />3. Foundation members are rotted cind deteriorated.. <br />Support posts are in tc�uch with the earth and are <br />rotted. sub-floor is deteriorated anrl saggin9 due to <br />the inadequate, rotted and deteriorated foundation. <br />4. Ceiling heights in the house are not adequata. <br />Habitable spaces shall have a ceiling height of not les� <br />than 7 feet 6 inches. Kitchens, halls, bathrooms and <br />toilet compartment� may have a ceiling height of not <br />less than 7 feet measured to the lowest projection from <br />the ceiling. <br />7. <br />The wiring for the building is old, fusc-.d and unstable. <br />Tlie roof is covered with aluminum and tliere is not <br />ventilation for the attic space. <br />
