City of �verett- Boarri of Adj(ustment <br />Minutes <br />July 2, 1979. <br />The regular meeting of the Everett Board of Adjustment was held at <br />7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Co�ncil Chambers. <br />Mr. Russell presided; Mr. Zook and Mr. Nelson were present, Mr. Black <br />and Mr. Hoagland were absent. <br />Mr. Russell introduced the Bc�ard members to the audience. <br />A hearing was held on the application of; <br />K& H Enterprises, P.O. Box 399, Santa Monica, CA. 98406, for a <br />variance from Section 19.18.040 of the Everett t•lunicipal Code, Yard <br />Requirements, Paragraph A for permission to allow a multiple residence <br />to be constructed to wi.thin sixteen (16) feet from the front ten (10) <br />foot easement line ratlier than the code requirement of twenty (20) feet <br />from the easement line. <br />Also to alloca alternating stairs of Building D(parallel to Casino <br />Road) to be nine (9) feet '_'rom the front ten,(10) foot easement line <br />rather than the code requirement of twenty (20) feet from the easement line. <br />Legal Description: That portion of Lots 20 and 21 in the Plat of <br />Severly Berry Tracts, Div. r2, lying <br />South of Highway S.R. 526 <br />Approximate Location: East of 20th Avenue I�. Interchange- <br />West of llth Dr. South of 526 & <br />North of Casino Road. <br />Zoning: R-3 Diultiple Family Low Density Residence • <br />Mr. Jim Bar};er, the Architect for the project, represented K& H <br />Enterprises and made the follo�aing statement; <br />1. There is easement line confusion and he would like to know <br />where the setback line really is. <br />Celia Strong from the ?ublic Works Department had the following <br />statements to make: <br />1. The City requires a ten (10) foot deed on each side of the <br />road £or road improvement. However, a ten (10) foot easement <br />� for street purposes has been accepted rather than a deed but <br />the easement serves the same purpose. <br />2. The setback is figured from the North line of the easement. <br />3. The ordinance for road improvement was passed in October of <br />197f3 and stated that the setUacks shall be from the easement <br />line. <br />
