See: Dwg. A001 <br />To qualify as a basement, 50% or more of the ground surface adjacent to the under-floor space <br />should be less than or equal to 6 feet from the top of the first story level. Note that the adjacent <br />ground level must slope a minimum of 2% away from the building and that the height measurement is <br />taken at 5 feet (perpendicular) from the building (see parking lot on eastem side of Building A). <br />Based on the elevations and plans 40% more "berm" is required for each building in order to avoid <br />the three-story designation. Resubmittals should include calculations, which substanNate basement <br />classification. It should also be noted that the perimeter of the overhang (first Boor over the p2h!.^.y) <br />of Building A should be used when determining be�rn coverage. We have added concrete retaining walls to some bulldlnp comars to maintaln <br />yrede. See: Dwgs. A200, A300 d A301. <br />In order to avoid opening protection and exterior wall fire-resistance, the covered carports should be <br />separated from each building by a minimum of 8 feet.
