c
Greg & Stephanie Lineberry
February 14, 2007
c
ES-0742
Page 2
The subject site is located along the south side of Hillside Lane in Everett, Washington, and
consists of vacant parcel that is located near the top of a steep slope descending to the east.
The slope is located on the east side of the property and descends toward the east. Based on
field observations and client based information the slope is approximately 25 feet high with a
gradient of 100%. The client informed ESNW that there was a history of landslide activity on
the slope opposite of the subject site slope.
Environmentally Sensitive Area Assessment
As pat of our Environmentally Sensitive Area (ESA) assessment, we reviewed the following
resources:
. Everett Municipal Code, Title 37.080, Geologically Hazardous Areas;
. Snohomish County Geologic Hazard Areas map;
• Preliminary Sucial Geologic Map of the Mukilteo and Everett Quadrangles,
Snohomish County, Washington, 1976;
. The Snohomish County Soil Survey (SCS), and;
• Conceptual site plan provided by ihe client.
Based on our review of the site and proposed work activity, in our opinion, the proposed single
family residence can be constructed as planned. The following observations support the above
conclusion:
. The proposed work area is not overly steep, and does not exhibit a history of slope
instability.
• The review of geologic map data indicate the soils throughout the site are comprised
primarily of giaciai till deposits that exhibit relatively good soil strength characteristics.
. The slope to the east of the proposed work area will remain relatively undisturbed, and
vegetation will be preserved.
/y
Earth Solutions NW, LLC
