It was deternined through the inspection that the
structure was substandard and uninhabitable. ?ursuant to the
inspection the structure was posted "111ega1 to Occupy" .
On November 17, 14,41 a letter was sent to the owner, Hr. Tom McKee,
descr•ibing all ihe violations noted with the structure and requesting
him to advise our office within 10 days of his plans reaarding
corrective action in the matter. 7he letter, which was sent cer-
tified mail , return receipt requested, was returned to our office
 "unclaimed" .
On December 29, 1981 a "Building Official 's Notice and Order" was
sent to all property owners. This is the procedure taken if the
10 day tetter has not been acknowledged.
Gn January 25, 1982 Mr. McKee met in our office with Ken Callahan
and myself regarding the Notice and Order he had received. As a
result of that meeting Y,en indicated that abatement proceedinas
would be held up provided the structure would be kept secured.
Mr. McKee requested a letter stating that abatement would not
continue on the structure.
On February 2, 1982 an inspectiun revealed that the structure was
still open. I continued to monitor the area over the next few
days and saw some young males at the structure. They indicated
that they were not livir:g there but were vorking on the place.
After February 2, 1982 complaints started coming in from the neigh-
bors of this address pertaining to wild aeekend parties.
