Grand. _ _ - I In the process of giving approval for the permit I thought it advisable to contact Jim Iles, Assistant City Attorney, and seek his legal advice on the issuance of the permit since the BuiTding Official Notice and Order was not being satisfied by the iss�ance of this pe�-mit. I had talked with Jim Iles the week prior to this concerning the fact that the Notice and Order had not been complied with as yet; the structure had not beeri vacated as ordered; and no appeal had been filed. I told Jim that '[ would like to send a letter, for courtesy's sake, to Mr. McKee with a copy to Mr. Dan Greene, occupant of the structure. The letter was to indicate that the city was continuing with abatement of the struc- ture and since no appeal had bezn timely filed, the structure was to be - vacated immediately. The letter was being drafted at the time Mr. McKee came into the office today. With Mr. McKee here in person to talk with, there was no need to write the letter. Larry Callahan invited Mr. McKee into his office and asked me to come into the office also. There was another gentleman with Mr. McKee, whom I later found out was Dan Greene, the occupant of 2528 E. Grand. j Upon entering the office, Mr. McKee turned to me and in a very angry voice � said directly to me, "You are a liar. Everything you put in your report � to Jim (Jim Langus) is a lie." i, II Larry Callahan asked what Mr. McKee intended to �o to fix up the struc- I ture as the $400.00 roof repair permit application was not sufficient to satisfy the Building Official Notice and Order. Mr. McKee started yelling and said there was nothing wrong with the structure and that I was a liar, � he was going to geT my job and threatened to do whatever he could to get � me out of the way of his progress wi*.f, this structure. He said I singled i hirr out and was picking on him. He said he knew where I lived and that I was getting pressured to proceed with this process from Earl Boyenga . � I - .i
