' <br /> The followinq is a written report describing and delineatinq the <br /> ecountered 9iadinYl draina�eiand9bothcalopenandnfootinqmstability. <br /> concerninq g 4. 9 <br /> Investigation Parameters: <br /> Our field investigation of tha site was conducted 'during the period <br /> of October. 20 through 28, 1997, and consisced of the followinq <br /> work: <br /> 1 : Trails were brushed out along the slope and i�wer terrace. <br /> 2: A survey baseline was established usinq tape, transit and � <br /> stadia methods, No property corner rebar was locatad on the <br /> project site or vicinity, so existlnq fence corners in agree- <br /> ment with the base map provided was chosen for a point of beqin- <br /> ning. A bearing of N. 87° W. was assumed for the north and <br /> south property lines as scaled from the Thomas Brothers atlas <br /> bearing of 26th Street. Anqles and distances to adjacent build- I <br /> ings, utilities and points along the baseline were plotted. ± <br /> 3: Six test holes were dug and logged at relevant locations along I <br /> the terrace and sideslope, and the slope was probed to deter- I <br /> mine if any loose areas existed. I <br /> 4 : Topography at five foot intervals was delineated by using the <br /> baseline stations in conjunction with tape, stadia rod, optical i <br /> level, inclinometer and rangefinder methods.
