It is our understanding that the
existing, approximately 376.5 square foot patio and deck were constructed without a
slope stability assessment being preformed. Niels Tygesen with the City of Everett
Planning and Development Services stated that we could address any site slability
issues arising from both the existing construction and proposed deck roof with a brief
letter.
SITE CONDITIONS
This section discusses the general sur(ace and subsurface conditions observed at the
project site at the time of our field investigation. Interpretations of the site conditions are
based on the results of our review of available information, site reconnaissance and our
experience in the project vicinity.
General Geologic Conditions
Geologic information for the project site was obtained from the Washington State
Geologic Iniormation PoRal — Interactive Map, compiled by the Washington State
Department of Natural Resources. According to this map, deposits in this area are
classified as glacial till. These deposits consist of a hard, sandy clay and gravel. Site
soils were relatively consistent with the mapped geology.
