The proposal includes recanstruction of existing curb, `� <br /> gutter and eidewalk with the eame alignment as the curb and gutter of the park. The street <br /> pavemmnt in this area is 40 feet in aidth. The pmposal will eliminate 6 feet of street <br /> m <br /> rridth and 10 on-street parking spacea; the developer intende to provide 10 additional off- <br /> streot epaces in conjunction with the construction of 3 condominium atructures to be built. <br /> The propoaal also includes an underground wiring L.I.P. which is aurrently in process. <br /> Nhile there is a need for some on-street parking in the neighborhood, that need can be fille <br /> on the eaet side of Grand. The entire west aide of Grand ie involved in the development <br /> proposnl. The east side of Grand is in a transition to multiple residential conversion; th <br /> off-etreet pazkinq codes should adequately meet parking demanda. The developer of the we <br /> side propoeal is the e roperty on the eaet side of Grand. <br /> R�ppQ•fENpED ACTION ' <br /> t is recommendecl that Council approve the proposal to reconstruct the curb on Grand Avenue <br /> from approximately 30 feet north of 19th to 21st Street incl.uding new sidewalks, eliminating <br /> on-atreet parking on the west side of Gran=eesra delandscaping on theiwesthsiderk Subject to <br /> tmoaphere by planting ornamental cherry <br /> f-street parking requirements being increased to 10 additional spaces. <br /> � <br />
