The proposal includes reconatruction of exiating curb, <br /> � gutter �nd siCewalk with the same aligcu��ent ae the curb and gutter of the park. The street f <br /> pavement in this area is 40 feet in width. The proposal will eliminate 6 feet of street , <br /> � width atfd 10 on-streat parking spaces; the developer intends to provide 10 additional off- <br /> � streat apaces in coniunction with the construction of 3 condominium etructures ta be built. � <br /> The proposal nleo includes an underground wiring L.I.D. which is aurrently in process. <br /> While there is a need for acme on-atreet parking in the neiqhborhood, that need can be fille <br /> on the esst side of Grand. The entire west side of Grand is inwlved in the development <br /> proposal. The east side of Grand is in a transition to multiple residential convereion; th � <br /> off-street parking codea should adaquately meet parkittg demanda. The developer of the we <br /> side propoeal s the e roperty on the east side of Grand. <br /> RECOtRdENDED ACTION � <br /> i <br /> t ia reco:mnendeA that Council approve the proposal to reconstruct the curb on Grand Avenue ( <br /> from approximately 30 feet north of 19th to 21st Street including new sidewalks, elimirtating <br /> on-street parking on the west side of Grand for the purpose of extending the park-like <br /> tmoaphere by planting ornamental cherry trees and landscaping on the west aide. Subject to <br /> f-street parkinq requirements being increased to 10 additional spaces. <br /> . �- <br />
