Two existing homes will be demolished and replaced with a <br /> new three-story condominium with basement parkine. The approximare locations of the <br /> � subsurface explorations completed for this study and thc proposed condominium footprint are <br /> presented on t:ie Site and E�ploration Plan, Pigure 2. in the event that any changes in the <br /> I nature, design, or location of the strucwre are planned, the conclusions and recommendations <br /> contained in this report should be reviewed and modified, or verified, as necessary. <br /> II.l I'urpose and Scope <br /> The purpose of this stud} was to provide subsurface soil and shallow �round water data to be <br /> I utilizeJ in the design and development of the above-mentioned project. Our field smdy <br /> induded the comnletion of esploration borings to assess the rype, thickness, distribution, and <br /> physical properties of the shallow subsurface sediments. Geotechnical engineering smdies <br /> i were afso conducted to determine ti�e type of suitaoie fountiations, aiio�vaoie ioundacion soii <br /> bearing capacities, anticipated foundation settlements, lateral earth pressures, floor support <br /> considerations, and draina�e considerations. This report summarizes uur recent fieldwork and <br /> IoCfers development recommendations based on our present understanding of the project. <br /> L2 Audiorization <br /> �' Our study was accomplished in general accord:�ncc �vith our proposal, dated :\pril 26, 2000. <br /> � This report has been prcpared for the exclusive use of Christensen Quality Homes, and their <br /> agents, for specitic application to this project.
