These comments <br /> addmss building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments <br /> (such as Utilities, Planning �r Fire). All references refer to the 1997 Uniform Building Code, as <br /> amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2001 Edition, unless <br /> stated othetwise. <br /> In order for the processin�of your application to continue, it will be necessary to� <br /> provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting <br /> the corrections requested. <br /> 1. It appears that the windows in the new bedrooms do not meet the minimum requirements for <br /> escape and rescue. Provide documentation for the windows selected or enlarge windows. <br /> 2. Below grade walls are required to be insulated with minimum R-19 on the interior or R-10 rigid <br /> on the exterior. <br /> 3. Provide smoke detectors in all sleeping rooms and in the corridor or area gi��ing access to each <br /> separate sleeping area. Detectors shall be installed on each story and in uasements. <br /> 4. Blocking is required at all concealed spaces and at 10'-0" o.c. horizontal and vertical. Show on <br /> cross sc.tion. <br /> 5. Provide minimum 50 cfm fan in bathrooms and laundry rooms. <br /> 6. Exterior entrance/exits shall have a landing not more than 1" below the finished flooc Show on <br /> plans. <br /> 7. Provide cross section of exterior stairs. Show all components including guardrail and handrail. <br /> 8.
