-. � <br /> ��,. <br /> HOUSING CODE INSPECTION REPORT <br /> FROM: MARIAN DENT, CITY OF EVEREIT, HOUSING INSPECTOR <br /> DA7'E: JANUARY 19, 199a <br /> SUBJ: 2217 Grand Ave., Everett, WA <br /> At the request of the Ciry of Everett Police Department, an inspection was wnducted <br /> on this house and garage today. <br /> The following deficiencies were noted pursuant to the Uniform T3ousing Code. The <br /> deficiencies were sufficient to declare the house to be substandard a�.�d posted "Illegal to <br /> Occupy": <br /> 1. The front porch is deteriorated, rotted, buckled, and in some places in not <br /> strong enough to carry imposed loads. 'I'he porch is considered dangerous. <br /> 2. The roof is deteriorateci and requires replacing. <br /> 3. The eaves of the roof are mtted and requires replacing. <br /> 4. Paint is pealing off the exterior of the building causing a lack of protection from <br /> the elements to the wood underneath. <br /> 5. Windows are broken exposing the interior of the building to the elements. <br /> 6. Doors are broken and entry to the interior is readily made. <br /> 7. The chimney on the rear of the house is deteriorated and falling apart. It must <br /> be removed and the roof repaired accordingly or, the chimney must be repaired <br /> in accordance with the curcent Building Code reqwrements. <br /> 8. Fuels stored on the premises pose a fire hazard. <br /> 9. Wood members are falling from sofit areas. <br /> 10. Columns and guard rails on the porches show deterioration. <br />
