Perhaps <br />"linoleum" was used to indicate a floor covering but <br />not necessarily as the product to be used. Products <br />such as a good grade of sheet vinyl are now more common <br />and make a good floor covering. Whatever is used the <br />floor must be water impervious, grease resistant, easily <br />cleanable, smooth, safe, and durable. <br />Plans indicate walls to be washable enamel paint. Several <br />coats of good paint will be needed. Walls must be smooth, <br />nonabsorbent, and easily cleanable. Extra wall protection <br />(hard vinyl splash guards) are indicated for behind sinks. <br />The walls are to be eight feet high even though the room <br />ceiling is probably sixteen feet up. The existing ceiling <br />appears to be sound so it will be acceptable as long as <br />there is no problem. If at some time the ceiling sloughs, <br />peels or sediment sifts through or from, effective <br />correction will be required. <br />The floor sink for the running water dipper well and <br />utility sink shall be properly trapped and mounted flush <br />with floor. The hand sink may drain to the floor sink. <br />If the freezer chest has a drain or waste water discharge <br />it too must have indirect connection to sewer. <br />Only one light fixture is shown on the sketch submitted. <br />Good, shadow free lighting is required on all work <br />surfaces. Also, all light tubes and bulbs must have <br />otective cover. <br />ur sketch shows the mop sink around on opposite side <br />side of building/ so you are to have in an appropriate <br />location in the concession a mop and mop bucket. <br />Where must be appropriate, neat, orderly storage of <br />supplies in the concession. Suitable smooth, washable <br />shelving is required. <br />
