only on the west and cast facades. The combined pr< jecting signs and awning signs on both facades
will be under the 24 square -foot limit imposed by the projecting sign limitation; well under the 60
square -foot wall sign al low:mce possible. The proposed signs location, size, rout style :rod color arc
in harmony with the building's overall design and location.
Conclusion: The plan is aesthetically superior to what is allowed by the zoning code since the wall
signagc and the projecting signage will all be under the maximum square footage allowed. The new
signs will promote legible wayfinding, and will be proportionately and aesthetically pleasing with the
building's scale and location.
Decision: The Planning Director approves the proposed comprehensive sign design plan proposed by
Sno-Isle Co-op, and determined it meets the criteria listed in Subsection 36.210.A of the Zoning Code.
The following conditions shall apply:
I. The proposed sign must receive appropriate sign permits. A copy of this decision should be
submitted with the sign permit application.
2. The signs' designs must be similar to the designs of tlu plans submitted with this application. Any
deviation must be approved by the Planning Department.
This is ail administrative decision that is appealable to the City's Land Use Hearing Examiner. Appeal
forms are available from the Planning Department Permit Services Counter located at 3200 Cedar Street,
2nd Ploor, and must be submitted along with the required filing fee by 5 p.m. on August 14, 2011. If you
have any questions, please call Niels Tygesen at 425.257.8731.
Date: August I, 2011.
AI an iff , Director
Planni and Community Development Deparlauot
