July 11, 1977 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett Board of Adjustment was held at 7:30 p.m. <br />in the City- Hall Council Chambers, City Hall, Everett, WA. <br />Mr. Baird presided; Mr. Kristiansen, Mr. Russell, Mr. Berg, and Mr. Black <br />were present. <br />Mr. Baird called the meeting to order and under old business, from a special <br />meeting on June 30, 1977, asked for the Board's acceptance of the findings <br />and conclusions on the appeal of the Building Inspector's decision concerning <br />tow trucks located at 115 bridgeway, Everett, WA. <br />It was moved by Mr. Russell, seconded by Mr. Kristiansen, and unanimously <br />carried to accept and sign the findings and conclusions. <br />Also, under old business a hearing was held on the application of Anders <br />Saatvedt, 1408 Mukilteo Blve, Everett, WA, for a variance from Section <br />19.08.010 E.M.C. (Everett Municipal Code) Land Use, paragraph "B", for <br />permission to front on a public dedicated street for no (0) feet rather than <br />the code requirement of forty (40) feet. <br />Applicant proposes access is to be provided by a permanently maintained <br />easement. <br />Legal Description, The southeasterly 180 feet (plus or minus) of the fellowing <br />described tract: <br />All that portion of Tract 7, Maple Heights described as follows: <br />Commencing at the Northwest corner of said tract; thence Southwesterly along <br />Mukilteo Boulevard, a distance of 73 feet; thence Southeasterly to a point on <br />the Southeasterly line of said tract which is 105.77 feet Southwesterly of the <br />Northeast corner of said tract; thence Northerly along the Southeasterly line <br />of said tract to the Northeast corner of said tract; thence westerly along the <br />Northerly line_ of said tract to the point of beginnings situate in the County <br />of Snohomish, State of Washington. <br />Address: Approx. 1400 Mukilteo Blvd. <br />Zoning: R-1 Single Family Low Density Residence <br />Mr. Saatvedt represented himself and had nothing more to add to his application. <br />There was no opposition from the audience. <br />After visually viewing the subject property and considering all the facts, it <br />was moved by Mr. Kristiansen, seconded by Mr. Russell, and unanimously carried <br />to grant the applicant's request for the following reasons: <br />1. The perpetual road easement to the property is the only access <br />to the area. <br />2. The view property would be landlocked and useless if the variance <br />was not granted. <br />3. The variance requested meets the requirements for granting <br />jurisdictional variances as set forth in the E.M.C. (Everett Municipal <br />Code) Section 15.04.370 and Subsection a, b, c, 6 d, <br />r <br />
