Merrill Creek Crossing
The southerly access to the Viking Site from Hardeson Road will cross Merrill Creek.
I The crossing had been designed using precast, prestressed, hollow-core concrete slabs
(per Concrete Tecluology, Inc., or equivalent). The bottom of the crossing has been set
I to be over 1 foot above the 100-year water surface elevation of 506.58 (see plans for this
elevation and ee the Hydraulic Elements output in the Appendix for supporting
calulations).
A flow of 200 cfs was used to determine the ]00-year water surface elevation. This flow
was used after comparing it with the flow (190 cfs) provided by the City (which came
from the City's {see Dan Mathius} model of the regional basin for the developed
condition) and the flow (200 cfs) described in the report titled "Summary of Hydraulic
Analysis for Merrill and Ring Creek". by Klohn Leonoff, December 4, 1990 (see
Appendix).
The flow that will pass under the crossing at 1 foot of freeboard (D = 2.82) is 280 cfs.
The flow that will pass under the crossing at no freeboard (D = 3.82) is 439 cfs. See the
Hydraulic Elements output in the Appendix for supporting calculations.

ISTORM DRAINAGE REPORT FOR VIKING -IRRILL CREEK PAGE 10
