For the <br />actual detentior� pond, the surt'ace area of the theoretical pond was increased by the factor <br />of safety at one foot increments of depth. Thus, the volume of the pond was increased by <br />the required amount without increasing pond depth. The discharge structure and pond <br />depth are identical to those used with the theoretical pond.
