Intracorp E-3592-720
September 21, 1998 Paps 2
If the above design criteria are incorrect or change, we should be consulted to raview the
recommendations contained in this report. In any case, ECI should be retained to psrform a
general review of the final design.

The subject lot is located immediately east of Hardeson Road in an undeveloped portion of
Seaway Tract 3, Lot 2 that is currently an active pravei borrow pit. Gradea within the aite
have been lowered up to seventy (70) feet below nriginal grade. The site is bordered to the
north by an aaphalt park(ng area to the west by Hardeson Road and to the east and south by
undeveloped commercial property.
As a result of the past grading and mining activiry, the aite topography is uneven, conteining
localized depressions which have been excavated to approximately faurteen (14) feet below
proposed finished grade.
The site contained little to no vegetation at the time of this study.

Subsurface conditions were evaluated by excavatinp five test pits at the approximate
locations shown on Plate 2. Please refer to the Test Pit Logs, Plates A2 throuph A5, for a
more deteiled description of the conditions encountered at each test pit Ixetion. A
description of the field exploration methods is included in Appendix A. The following is a
generalized description of the subsurface conditions encountered.
At our test pit locations, we typically encountered native soils comprised of inedium dense
to dense, interbedded sequenGes of poorly graded gravel with silt and sand, poorly eraded
sand with silt and gravel, poorly graded sand (Unified Soil Classifications GP-GM, SP-SM, and
SP, respectively). The observed soils typically consisted of gradational sequences from coarse
grained material at the top of the excavation to finer grained soils toward the bottom. The
central portion of the site as observed in Test Pit TP-5 is comprised of inedium dense asndy
silt (ML) to a depth of approximately eleven (11) feet below existinp grade. Poorly praded
sand with silt and gravel was observed underlying the siit in Test Pit TP-5.
Erch Can.uh.nd, Ine.
