Letter to J. Workman l
November 23, 1998
Page 2
along the eastern portion of the propeny and the steep slope :long the western rtion ,f
the properry.
In order tu meet this requirement. he following revisions are required to the landscape
plan:
a. Th:. red maples must be eliminared from the planting area along the western eJge of the
stream corridor and from the planting area along the botrom of the steep sfope. These
must be replaced with natives such as one of the native maples - Acer macrophyllum,
Acer circinatum, or Acer glabrum.
b. We have interpreted that "transition areas" means at least those landscape areas that are
touching environmentally sensitive areas. The landscape island that extends from the
steep slope into the middle of the western parking area would be considered a transitiun
area and must be planted wi6i native vegetation.
Before the Planning Department signs off on the plans, these revisions must be submitted.
If you have any questions regarding this letter, please call me at 425-257-8731.
5incerely,
rn .
Mary Cummgham
Planner
cc: Building Department
Puhlic Works Department
